Not that I need to wait until Thanksgiving comes and let all of you know how much I am thankful for you...each and every one of you...but it is always a time that we all reflect and realize all of our gifts. And I know for me, my true gifts are my family and friends. I wish I saw more of you...I truly do. But, even though some visits may be infrequent...and some becoming more so, those feelings never fade. Thankfully.
Our Thanksgiving this year was spent in Parry Sound at a cottage my parents rented for the family. Mom and Dad have a trailer that they spend alot of time at in the summer not far from where they live in Shawanaga and there they have a few cottage rentals. It was so awesome pulling up to the cottage Saturday with my family there waiting.....and the great spot it was on. On the lake....trees turning....and the anticipation of great time spent with family in the outdoors...the kids running around just enjoying.
The only 'glitch' was Johnathon leaving after Thanksgiving dinner to head home. Although the actual holiday is on Monday, I think most families have their dinner on Sundays...as we did. Johnathon had to work the holiday Monday so we had an almost early dinner (definitely early for our family) on Sunday and then off he went with Oliver in tow to meet up with his Nana....which gave room for our munchkins and I to get home with my brother, Cheryl and the Jackster on Monday.
All in all, we had a nice time....the drive up was stunning watching all the colours unfold the further north we went. However, I didn't take any pics on the way up and where the cottage was, there were alot of evergreens....so not the colours to look out at that I had hoped for but still quite nice.
Saturday = gorgeous fall day! Fun with our boys and our nephews....later some marshmallows around the fire and then the rain came. And the kicker = Sunday. Woke up to some hail and then snow and then hail again!!! Yep. As much as we were all like what the *^$!....really I think we somehow were quite enjoying it. Early...yes....but that I think that is what was cool about it.

Okay, I wrote that over a week ago...just now getting back to finishing this post.
And I wanted to write....I did. But I'm just having one of those days....a bad day. A really cranky, bitchy day where I'm sure some of those around me were wishing they weren't. And I'm sorry for that. So, best I just end for now. All is well....the boys, Sydney and my honey (although he is having a 'day' himself..) and I will start again fresh hopefully tomorrow.
Love to all of those that take the time to read. Lots of love!
