a broken record

Yes, unfortunately, what I'm writing about is what I've wrote about quite a bit. It is pathetic really and I will keep it minimal as I'm tired of listening to it myself. We are sick. The boys, thankfully, are doing better. Nicholas finished up his antibiotics for his ears this morning and his cold seems to have diminished except for the hacking cough. Shane seems pretty much the same. Their eye infections seem to have vanished with the drops. Daddy is battling his head cold with Nyquil still...and well, I have been pretty much a big sick mess all week. Yesterday was the worst of all and today, I am 'pretending' to be okay. I am bound and determined to get out of the house and enjoy some of this glorious sunshine that we have going on.

I would like to tell more about my new job but I would need to be there a little more in order to do so I think. Between training, family days off with the sick boys and a vacation day on Friday, there isn't much to tell. Training was good...and I think tomorrow, I will enjoy getting some hands on experience now that I have a little background. I was offered a permanent position with HR...not sure if I mentioned this already....and I accepted. Being part of Supply Chain for 9 years, it was a tough decision to leave and move on with Human Resources. I have built some wonderful relationships there and being part of Darlington has been great! I will miss many people and the cushion of my old job there BUT eventually, it's time to move on and my time has come.

I'm looking forward to building new relationships and becoming part of what seems, a fabulous team. These women seem truly awesome and they work together, help each other, and are just some of the friendliest people I have met in a long time. Their workload is overwhelming and I know they are taking me in with open arms. I can't wait to take on my own client groups and dive in! And having always wanting to be part of HR, I am looking forward to taking some courses to eventually further my career within the HR family.

Vacation day...yes, we took Friday off as we had tickets to go see Staind at Casino Rama last Thursday night. Just want to say what a fabulous concert (sick and all)!! A smaller venue with such a great band was pure enjoyment, not to mention we had 4th row and could see perfectly. Awesome! Auntie Cheryl agreed to watch our boys for the night and again, we thank her so much!! I just hope her sickness that she is now suffering through wasn't from us. Get better..xo.

A big sigh of relief for Syds little brother, Sam. He was hospitalized for 4 days and is now home on the mend surrounded by family and lots of love.

*** Pics are being uploaded into an album right now from our Puerto Plata trip...will get them posted on here shortly.
